Ethan and Elizabeth went to see Santa lastweekend and Ethan asked for an xbox 360......ummmmm NO!!! But we have always gotten him what he asked for in the past and I don't want to dissapoint him, but we can't afford that and if we could it would be for my husband, not the 7 yeard old.

My daughter is almost 2 and all she ever talks about is Thomas the Tank Engine and Dora so we got her some Thomas stuff and some Dora stuff. When we see something she really shows intrest in like a tricycle(which we bought for christmas) we try to get it for her. I know when she's older she'll probably get most of the things she asks for.

my kids haven't asked for anything, so what they get is what they get :)

We try to get what they show interest in...they don't ask for much but they talk about things they would like!!

I feel they have gotten some really nice things this year! It's harder when they get older I think!! Robby is simple...he loves Curious George and Cars!!

:giggle Ericka asked Santa for a bigger house and a minivan.. I think she was asking Santa for gifts for mommy :lovestruck . We bought her almost everything that she wanted, though.. and she is now banned from Nickelodeon and their darn commercials!! We bought her a Baby Alive, Leapster, the Fisher Price digital camera, a tmx elmo, a graco baby doll set and some clothing. I didn't want to buy her that much stuff but dh kept on buyin :banghead Nathan only has 2 or 3 gifts and I had to BEG dh just to buy them :shrug

Totally agree with this statement.

The kids will some of the things on their wish lists....can't possibly get ALL the things, but they both will have a Happy Christmas.

DD is only 9 months, so we don't have this problem....she'd probably be happy to get a roll of wrapping paper to tear up. :giggle

Within reason. Obviously if it is way out of my budget then he won't be getting it. But I make the attempt to get what he asks for...

Madison says she wants just about everything she sees :lol But when I asked her what she wanted for Christmas she said, "Just a big girl bike." She needed a bigger bike anyhow so we got her one.

Hayden of course is too young to ask but he loves watching people play basketball and lately has been taking balls and standing under the hoop and acting like he wants to put it through the hoop so I think I am going to go get him one of those Little Tykes basketball hoops.

Erik is getting a lot of what he asked for, but not everything. :)

Jer asked for little things like a Front Loader and Thomas Trains and cars... he is easy to buy for at 3. I don't want to think about Christmas for a teenager... He will just have to learn he cant get everything he wants.

Ashtin asked Santa for a telescope, and she got it(well she doesn't know that yet). I found one for a good price. Gavin wanted play tools. So I got him a home depot tool bench with alot of extra accessories.

Oh and I was at Walmart this morning getting some last minute things and groceries, when I hear dover the loud speaker that they had a small shipment of TMX Elmo at the layway department I ran over there quick and got one for Gavin.

Ethans too young to ask for stuff. But he LOVES Elmo so I preordered a TMX back on release day and got it then. So he's getting that and some other stuff. But when hes able to ask for stuff then no. Not everything. Somethings can be left for other holidays and such like birthdays etc

My girls did not ask for anything this year. So I just bought things I thought they would like. DH and I splurged on them some this Christmas...hopefully they enjoy the gifts!

My stepdaughter wants a Nintendo DS but we got her a Gameboy advance which we think is more age appropriate. Other than that we just got her a bunch of stuff we think she'll like.

I don't know yet. Both want a guitar. Colby wants a black or red one and Kaitlyn wants a pink one, but I might get one for them to share until I know if they're going to stay interested in it. Then I'll get other little things they've had their eyes on, like CDs, DVDs, another light saber, Heelys, just more things versus one big gift and just a couple others. No point to me in having two guitars when it's probably just a phase anyway.

Well Austin is 20 months, so he's pretty easy. I'm sure he'll be just happy to rip into the wrapping paper. I am dreading when he is older and asking for much more expensive and hard to come by toys. Not to self....find a family member and make them work at Walmart to take things off the shelf for me. My aunt who is retired now, got me a Tickle Me Elmo that way when I was younger.

Yeah. But only due to her asking for a dog and we had been saving up for one for awhile. They asked for pretty easy things, like fishing gear, dog, camping gear.

My kids are both under three so they don't really ask for anything. We got them things that they are going to enjoy though. I took our 2 and half year old to the store and let him pick out things and we bought him almost all of it. The one year old was a lot harder to shop for though.

Cam is 2, and sees things in the store she wants.. most of the time we tell her that Christmas is coming up and we have to see what Santa brings.. we still haven't bought the Santa gift.. She's getting a dollhouse from us, with all the accessories http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2301378&cp=&f=Taxonomy%2FTRUS%2F2254197&origkw=my+first+dollhouse&kw=my+first+dollhouse&parentPage=search I found the dollhouse on sale at walmart for $20, so it was a steal! :D Mommy also bought her some disney princess bath stuff (in gift sets) and she's getting a couple books, and DVDs, and a lava lamp for her room (she loves ours!)
