I need some advice..Our first baby is due a month before DH leaves for a 6+ monther deployment. I was wondering what kind of things do you all do to keep them close and that would help baby know him. I am planning on sending him a big care package in the middle and would like to have some things to put in there as well as any other ideas.

Record his voice reading books, have him make a video that you can show to the baby once he/she starts reponding to things like that so the baby can connect his voice and his face. Pictures and stuff are a good idea. You can do the same for your hubby. Video's, pictures, and things like that!!! GL!!!

I had Andrew record a tape of bedtime stories that I let Madison listen to every night.

maybe some plaster casts of the baby's feet and hands?
