TATER TOT CASSEROLE

1 (32-ounce) package frozen tater tots
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (6 ounce) can French-fried onions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch-baking dish. Arrange tater tots in the prepared baking dish. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cheese, and mushroom soup.
Pour this mixture over the tater tots. Sprinkle onions over the top of the casserole. Bake in the 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 45 to 60 minutes


Sometimes I substitute frozen hash browns for the onions..I also like to add more cheese!

my mom made one when i was growing up.my dh loooves it.
you put a layer of hamburger meat with some condensed cream of mushroom soup...layer tator tots and then spread mozz. cheese all over the top and bake it for about 45 min. YUUUUUUM! and its even better left over

its good. we love it!! we add different things to it to make it more of a "meal" than a side dish... YUM!!
