View Full Version : Could this finally be it???
SezzySue 12-19-2006, 10:34 PM Ok so I am only about 4-6 DPO (haven't been tracking too well due to traveling). So lately I have been extra irritable and today my boobs are just KILLING me. They have been sore a lot lately but today is terrible. They are actually swollen on the outsides where they are most sore. Is it too soon for this to be a possibility? I don't want to get my hopes up but this is definately not normal. I usually have sore nips from ovulation til AF comes. But this is not my nips at all just the boob.
What do you think?!?!

It's very possible to start having symptoms that early. Good luck!
7DPO is to early to test. The earliest that you might get a positive is 9DPO

oh girl, back away from the stick....... its just to lead to disappointment. i'm at 9dpo... i'll test aroun 12 or so....

I tested early too then I tested again Tuesday night... Im suppose to get my period tomorrow and I got a BFN too... I was bummed but I guess we can try again next month.
some people dont test + until a couple weeks after their missed period... thats why sites, like fertility friend, recommend testing like 3-4 days AFTER you've missed your period, around 18 DPO

What do you mean you ovulate late and then get a period on 10 DPO? That isnt right? If thats the casr your luteal phase is too short and you may need to hit up the Dr. You should ovulate whenever. WHatever day it is shouldnt make a difference. Whether it be CD 10 or cd 20. Then get a period 14 DPO for a normal length luteal phase. Just confused is all. I know several people whos LP isnt long enough and some simple meds helped them with that and they were able to conceive. MANY women do not ovulate on day 14 and MANY women do not have 28 day cycles. Which is totally normal. But most women should have a 12-14 day luteal phase...

That is our case though. I ovulate CD20 and I have a 30-31 day cycle. Ihave however gotten pregnant before so we know its not impossible but it is the case. also a dr won't see you till its been a year of trying.

You can get a Dr to see ya if ya know the problem tho ;) Even tho it took us 9.5 years of TTC with our son I was seen earlier on for problems we knew I had. Its just the Dr's didnt know about PCOS or the medications for it at the time. So it took us awhile. I finally found a Dr that knew both and once that happened I got pregnant right away. I believe there are some remedys you can look into for a short luteal phase. Knowing the problem is 3/4 of the battle!

If you have a short luteal phase they can prescribe clomid. After I got off depo I had a very short luteal phase. I got preggo but m/c both times. The dr said it probably had to do with my short LP. He gave me clomid, which I took for 3 days, got preggo the first cycle and had Taniyah. You might ask your GYN especially if you know that your LP is short.

i think i will make an appointment and ask about it once we get home this next week. i never realized it was so bad.
also lately i have started a litle early. this month was 4 days early and last month 3 the month before 5 days early so not sure whats up.
