So I am guessing that once Doug's boat is finish they will be able to tell us how long he will be where unless he is to reup?

We haven't moved in 5 years and won't for another 2. DH spent 4 years at sea and will spend 3 years on shore. We didn't have to move because he got stationed for shore at a nearby base. We probably won't move when he goes back to sea duty because he will try for a ship in the area. After that he will be willing to accept orders somewhere else. Of course it isn't always guaranteed he will be able to get a ship in the area and we will have to move in 2 years from now.

It depends on his rate and if hes on shore duty or sea duty!! DH is an AM so his sea duty time is 5 years and his shore duty time is 2 years!

Okay so will they tell him that once he gets to Norfolk? How long his sea duty is and shore duty? I really don't know what they consider him right now. His boat is being built and will be finished in June 08. Any help? He is a FT.

We have moved every 3 years. but that was our choice. 2 of the 3 bases that we have been too, we could have stayed for sea and shore.

now growing up, my dad and step dad were air force and we moved every 3 years period.

We are coming up on 4 years here in San Diego, I am going insane!!!!! LOL

So far we haven't had to move. I came here for college 5 years ago and met my husband. He has been here for almost 4 years.

But I'm sure we will be moving in the next year or so :(

Well, we'll have been here 3 years when they move us. We wanted to just stay another year here until Jason's EOS but they wouldn't do that. Idiots. So it's off to somewhere else.

The military or at least the AF changed pcs moves from 24 to 48 months. So I am guessing that we might be stuck in NM for the next 4 years.

My dh is in the Navy and he has been stationed here in Norfolk/Va Beach since 97. He's currently on a ship so we'll be here at NOB until at least 2009. I wouldn't mind moving someplace else though. We'll see what happens when he comes up for shore duty, I guess.

My husband is aircrew, and an E5, so we move every 4 years for sea duty and every 3 years for shore duty.
