okay ladies what kind of band does your hubby wear. i was thinking that df should get titanium since it is super super durable, doesn't scratch as easily and doesn't scratch as easily and cheaper than white gold. he likes titanium because its "a cool metal". that's a direct quote from him...i was wondering what your opinions were.
1. titanium
2. white gold
3. tungsten (most expensive by far but very very very very very durable)

I am getting DF a titanium ring... I fell in love with one at Helzberg Jewelers and it's gorgeous and manly at the same time... (request by DF, LOL) It's the brushed finish too so the scratches it does get don't show bad if at all. It's only $99 too so not bad on the bank!! HTH girl! I didn't like the Tungsten ones they are WAY too heavy and would be a pain in my personally opinion!!! Good luck and let me know what you find!!!

DON'T get the brushed!!! My dh has it and his looks like complete garbage!! I spent almost 300 on it and we have only been married for 2 years and we are going to have to buy him a new one!! The jeweler said it was more "durable" cause of it being brushed. Dh doesn't do anything on the ship where he could ruin it either!! (He is in admin, so I don't think paper could hurt it) LOL

Really! I know Df doesn't like the idea of a really shiny polished finish on his ring... he just doesn't like the idea of a ring that looks to "fancy" to him. He's pretty simple in that way. I'm not sure what to do now. He's OS so he's pretty busy and always using his hand for things in his job... shoot...

I know that you can get them rebrushed, but it might be expensive! Talk to a jeweler and see how much it is. Dh just wants something new so that we don't have to keep taking it in to have it rebrushed.

K thanks for the warning.. I'm going to go order his ring tomorrow, so I will talk to the jeweler and see what they say... if they try to lie to me to sell it I'm just going to walk out... that would really piss me off!

I know for a fact that they can do it!! So don't let them try to pull a fast one on ya!!

Be sure to post pics of what you decided to go with!!

DH has an 18k white gold band. By itself, it looks kind of big and chunky, but he picked it out, still loves it and it looks good on his finger. LOL!

We weren't offered to get his "brushed." Do they put on a coating on it or something? We've had ours polished, though. (I miss our jewelry polisher in SD.) The guy we always went to was awesome, it was like we had brand new rings when we'd get them done every year for our Anniversary.

DH has a 14k gold ring, he likes his a lot. There is nothing fancy to it. I have been wanting to upgrade his but he says no that he is happy with his ring.

Just a note on the Tungsten...it does look really nice..that is what I got Josh!! They do feel heavy, but not so heavy when you are wearing it!! And yes..they do say that they are the most durable...but trust me, they will break if dropped on ceramic tile!!! That is what happened to Josh's about 2 months after the wedding!! Good luck!!

I upgraded to platinum not too long ago and for our anniversary this year I am thinking of getting dh either titanium or tungsten to match my ring. I'd like to get princess diamonds set in it though. I haven't started looking seriously yet. I like the middle/2nd band you posted. :)
