JLo 01-01-2007, 07:55 PM I really loved that book. I related to it and it was a really emotional book for me. Ive read 4 chapters so far. :) *.:Hope:.* 01-11-2007, 09:38 PM I absolutely loved what happened with Marley and Mrs. Dominatrix.. lol. It reminds me so much of my old labrador *sniff* Veronica 01-11-2007, 09:40 PM finished it. What a great book...and I can just see the PA house in my head. seanswife32 01-16-2007, 09:55 PM This is absolutely my favorite book....it's great whether you are an animal lover or not. I love dogs but the story is just wonderful. The stories about Marley's escapades as a puppy are hilarious...made my dog seem like an angel! jlbecker 03-03-2007, 04:33 PM i read this last summer!! it was such a fun book! i never had a dog....but i recommend it to dog-lovers and non-dog-lovers alike! s. rosa 03-19-2007, 01:31 AM i looooved this book, i'm a huge dog lover, although df wants to get a lab when we move (into a TINY apartment!) so i think i'll make him read it first. but it definitely made me cry at the end, i'm going to read it again!!! chelsea<3josh 03-19-2007, 08:13 AM I loved this book too! It was so good and so emotional for me to read. My dog's name is Marley, it hit home a few times! Becca 05-01-2007, 11:29 AM This was a fantastic book. I had to put it down for a week or so, because I knew what was coming and didn't want to finish it :( But I really did relate to much of it, there were so many parallels in the book with the dog I had growing up :lol Some dogs you just can't help but love. :thumbsup Excellent book Kristen 06-05-2007, 12:27 PM Ok, I'm super late on this, but I wanted to add for those who loved the book like I did, that the auther has come out with a young readers' version. For parents who liked the book, I think the young readers' version would be an awesome tool for reading with your kids. Also, Amazing Gracie is a very similar book, put out before this one, that is just as funny and endearing, and with a little more emphasis on the human lessons learned during the process. It's about a Great Dane. I loved Marley and Me so much, especially since I have lab mixes right now. Truth be told, I never actually finished it, because I knew what was coming, and didn't want to put myself through that (my Gramps had just passed away, and he had a black lab too, who was very depressed with him not around, so I just couldn't do it.) inmansgirl06 06-05-2007, 12:30 PM the book was wonderul! Right after me and my brothers Fiance read it we went to the pound and she bought a lil yellow lab and named her marley! Super cute! Lckychrmzz 07-20-2007, 09:38 AM I guess MIL is bringing me this book she says I HAVE TO read it lol |
