that sperm can live inside a woman for 3 days?? I've had friends tell me that, but I just don't know how that is possible, is it true?? I hope yall don't think this is a dumb question.:oops

In my micro-bio class in college we learned there have been cases of sperm living up to 11 days inside a woman. It depends on the acidity of the environment and the sperm.

Up to 5 days is the normal if the conditions are right (right cervical mucuos etc) This is why they say you are most fertile in the days leading up to ovulation! They are there waiting for that eggie

and male sperm swim faster than female sperm but they die out sooner. The longer living sperm tends to be the slower,sturdier female.
