how long did you have to wait to see a doctor after getting a positive on an at home pregnancy test? I called my doctor today and I don't go to see him for a blood test and everything until the 24th. it's driving me crazy that i won't know for sure until the 24th! is it normal to wait that long?

I went in and confirmed by urine test the same day (4 weeks) in the dr's office and then was scheduled for my actual appointment (bloodwork, initial exam, initial ultrasound) when I was 8 weeks.

I called my PCM the day after I got the + at home.. went in that next afternoon and had it confirmed. It took around 2 weeks to get Tricare and my PCM to cooperate with each other (my PCM's clinic personnel kinda suck) and to get my referral/appointment to see my OB/GYN...

I always seen the OB for my first appt at about 12 weeks.

went in asap for confirmation of preggers and then set up appointment, usually about 8 weeks along is when you are seen.

I called as soon as I got a positive, they didn't confirm it until my 12 week appointment... :shrug

I confirmed the day after I got my + at home and then waited 2 weeks for my referral. Called to make an appt. They normally like to see you around 9 weeks or so providing you dont have a history of problems. So it is normal to wait a bit

With Breanna I got my positive and 2 days later had the pg confirmed. My first real appt. where I had a pap and everything was the following week.

With Johnny I got my positive and 4 days later got the pg confirmed. The following week I had my first real appt.

With this one I got my positve and got the pg confirmed 2 days later. But my first real appt. wasn't til 4 weeks later.

I went to the hospital to take another preggo test the very next day. Then I saw my doctor for my first prenatal appointment when I was around 9-10 weeks along, and got my first ultrasound.

for me it was confirmed at home on Saturday called Monday morning to schedule an appt. Went to do my blood test Tuesday I got called Wednesday with the results and now I'm scheduled for the 25th of Jan. to see the prenatal nurse for bloodwork and other things and that will be around 8-9 weeks and then March 2nd I see the doctor at almost 13 weeks :)

It was a Friday night so I had to wait until Monday AM. It was hell. Dh had me get like 5 at home tests. He was to funny.

that's what is happening here :) no where is open until tuesday cause of the holiday so he keeps wanting me to take more etsts to see if they all come back positive

I got a postive test on a Friday, then took another one on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I then called on monday and went in on Tuesday morning for a test. I was so schocked that we were pg that it took me 4 or 5 for it to sink it that we had done it.

Went to Family Practice to confirm it and then made the appointment at 8 weeks to be seen at OBGYN clinic.

I took 4 at home tests on a Friday, then called the clinic on Monday to get a same-day appt for a blood test confirmation. It was about 2 weeks after conceiving Ethan. I didn't have a REAL appt at the MTF til 12 weeks though.

I didnt get it confirmed after I got my + test. I just called and scheduled the appointment and when I was getting all my other pregnancy tests done they asked if I had a blood test to confirm and that is when they did it. I did have to wait a while before going in too.
