Ok well DB and I have been talking a lot about getting married lately, especially when I was in WA!!! There hasn't been an official proposal....although he did ask :inshock ....and I did say YES :D !!! :D But until he gets on a knee in the mountains and asks, I'm not taking on the "name" of fiancee (this is an outgoing joke between me & db). But anyway....we plan on making everything official (engagement wise) once he gets back from deployment!!!

Anyway...DB and I have been discussing when and where we would want to get married. Both of us have been married before so I don't want a big wedding but he does since he didn't get one. I can go with that. Anyway he wants a summer wedding and I want a fall one!

What do you think???? What about a wedding around July 4th? What about a destination wedding???

He wants summer, you want fall. Hmmm what about September. You've got Labor Day weekend so BBQ, summer feel. But kids are going back to school and weather is (in some places) starting to cool off so it's like the fall. But whatever makes you guys happy. Good luck with all that! I have tons of links if you ever want anything like that!

Girl if he asked and you said yes, you're a damn finace! Hell you know my situation. Its just kinda weird at first. Until you set an actual date, then it will feel more real. I think Sept is a good idea. See what he says about that. YAY Crystal, I'm so happy for you!

Thanks Ladies for the responses. I was thinking of Sept. too. Since it's kind of a mix!!! And I hear ya Trisha!!! I guess the whole thing is still kinda surreal!!! If it wasn't for this damn deployment (hard shock of reality), then I would swear that I was dreaming!!!

Hey yeah, we talk about marriage all the time and we actually want the date we met (June 30th) which is all around the July 4th weekend. I want an Americana theme (ya know red and blue bridesmaids dresses) and us in a white dress and his white's...my crazy ideas. But I think Sept is a great time for a wedding! Right smack dab in the middle, the weather's starting to change and etc. :)

:yes I thought the americana wedding would be cute too! However....I think we may have settled on September. I asked him what he thought and he said that September would be a great month. Maybe we can make it around a year from when he gets back from deployment, which would be September 2008.

September is awesome. I got married then adn it was amazing weather.

destination weddings can be fun, but they can also be veyr expensive. make sure you think about if you would rather have a fun location or all your friends there, because some people can't afford to take the time off, fly somewhere, pay for a hotel, etc. It's usually easier to have a local wedding.

Thanks for all the advice. I think we are going to go with September and have a wedding in Missouri. We are both from the Missouri & Illinois Bi-State area! All of our family lives here so it would probably be the best choice!

Thanks Again!!! :hugs
