Do you wear your wedding band 'closest to your heart' or on the outside?

im the odd one. I have my engagement ring closest, but just bc i got married in Dec- had my engagement ring on for the ceremony, then DH put on my wedding band- and i havent taken them off.......hmmmmm

My wedding band is closest to my heart....when its actually on. I don't wear my rings around the house. I use to but I cut Austin way to many time with them to wear them a lot.

I dont have a wedding band I only have a solitaire diamond ring so that's all I wear. :wub

lol..I don't think I have taken mine off since we married in september, but we got mine welded together because of how they are set...and we did it before the wedding cermony

I would have picked "other" on this one because I have two bands with the engagement ring in the middle

I didnt have a band for a while...I only had a diamond solitare, so we went and bought an inexpensive sterling silver band...i lost some weight so I wear it closer to my hand and my solitarie holds it in place...didnt even realize it was closer to my heart :teehee

I don't wear my engagement ring everyday because the setting always turns upside down and pokes me in the palm. :P When I do wear it, I wear my wedding ring on the inside.

hehe i was told to wear my engagement ring on my right hand for the ceremony so that didn't happen. LOL. i'd never have thought to have done that myself LOL but i'm kinda wedding/ring/etc clueless ;)

I agree there should have been "other"
cause my wrap is what we used as the wedding band, it is closest to my heart, BUT we bought a plain band after my wrap broke for the 3rd time in less than a year. (it is looped around and gets caught on things) So my actual "band" is on the outside

I wear my engagement ring on the inside. We didn't have a real wedding, so my wedding band doesn't mean as much to me as my engagement ring does. He picked it out himself, and it's just perfect, so I wear it closer to my heart. :)

I actually was wearing my other wedding set which is technically my engagement ring also till about 15 mins before I walked down the isle(since we were already married before the church ceremony)... I gave it to my Mom to wear. I wear my promise ring with my diamond wedding band... it looks best and matches very well. My other set I wear on my right hand and they are sautered together or I would lose my sliver band as DH called it that goes with the engagement set. :giggle

DH upgraded my original rings... so I now have one that's all one piece, with wedding band and 5th anniversary band that match each other, and look like a ring guard. But I always wore my wedding band closest to my heart.

i wear my wedding band by itself on my left hand (closest to my heart). i wear my engagement ring on my right hand. we picked out our wedding bands to match one another and the one we picked does not match my engagement ring, so i wear them seperate. my mom did the same thing, so i kind of feel like it's a tradition thing too...

I wear mine closest to my heart...I was looking around recently and kept noticing people with it on the outside and thought I was doing it wrong, lol. Mine would look silly on the outside though, I actually took my rings off and switched them almost immediately after he put it on my finger during the ceremony.

I wear my wedding band on the inside. Mine looks better that way anyway, but i've always know that to be the "proper" way.

well I have a dimond band on the top my wedding ring in the middle and my other diamond band on the bottom dh give me two bands for my engagment

i will wear mine on the instead, it looks better with my ring that way :)

i have a question about rings...i've had this question for a couple months now but don't know who to ask.

if a court house wedding happened first and the couple had their rings, then what would happen if they decide on having a church wedding? do you skip the rings part of the ceremony? get new ones? take them off then use them for the ring ceremony?

We took ours off just before the ceremony.. accept the woman who was remarrying us FORGOT to do the ring part.. we had to remind her at the end :duh

when people ask me why i wear it that way i'm like because my wedding band represents my husband and he is close to my heart so i wear it on the inside and my engagement ring is like a defense so i wear it on the outside.
