Since dh will more than likely miss the birth of his daughter I heard that I can get a Doula for free thur an operation.

Anyone know a link or something?

Will I qualify for one even though he will be gone a few months?

How much does a doula normally cost?

errr. nevermind. they are in SD... i think your hospital might have info about special doulas who service the military community for discounted rates (if not for free) -- if not, let me see if i can pull a general link for a directory of them

I know someone that trained to be a doula. Very reccomended, even if your man is around. They are specially trained on how to get you through the labor as painlessly as possible.
Good Luck to you.

Its Operation Special Delivery. The doula that Becky was thinking of is involved in that. :) You should be able to ask your Dr. about it. I know they do a lot of work in Balboa.

Thanks for the info. Except I am not delivering at Balboa. I will be delivering at NAS Lemoore so im not sure if they had one up there. I will have to fill out that form and go from there.
