Hey There! I had an amazing weekend with DB! I flew out with his mom, stepdad and aunt early thursday morning. When we got to his graduation (the next morning) we were all so excited. When his division marched in I started tearing up. I'm so proud of him! Once all the divisions were lined up we tried to pick him out of the line up by using zoom on his stepdad's camera. DB used to have long hair and a mustache/goatee (as you can see from my picture) so it was a little hard, but we finally picked him out. After liberty had been called, we all ran out of the stands to get to him. That first hug was soo...wonderful. I can't even describe it. We picked up his grad pictures and then got some taco bell on base at "Recruit Heaven" (taco bell, kfc, pizza hut, subway, pool tables) because he had to check into A school. He had to go check in so we went back to our hotel room and cat napped, we had been up since 5am (3am our time!).

Around 5 we got a call from him telling us to pick him up at the visitors center and that he was granted overnight liberty until Monday night!! DB and I were snuggling and kissing and looking at each other the entire car ride on our way to get Chinese food. Once we got back to the hotel room we decided to get some dessert and watch "The Gaurdian" (which is a good movie!). I called my relatives and asked them if RJ could come with me back to their house (they lived about an hour and a half away from the RTC) and they said yes! DB's mom tried to get us our own hotel room but the hotel was all booked up :( But his aunt agreed to give us her king sized bed while she slept on a pull away, which was really nice :). It was so nice sleeping next to him (yes..thats all we did..well, lots of kissing, but it was weird because his aunt was sleeping 4 feet away) and falling asleep knowing when i woke up he would be there next to me. We could hardly make ourselves go to sleep because we just kept talking about the letters we both recieved and what not. It was funny, because he slept with his shirt off and it was dark so I couldn't see him. But when I saw him in the morning in pajamas and nothing else my jaw DROPPED!:drool He had a tummy when he went into bootcamp but thats all gone now! He's starting to get those cuts in his hips and...oh. :lovestruck

The next day (saturday) we had breakfast at the hotel and then went to Downtown Chicago. It was funny, because all these girls were checking him out and I would give them a look like 'Yeah, he's a sailor and he's MINE'. Mwahaa :D. His parents had to get back to the airport so we headed out early to avoid traffic. We had dinner at the airport and then my grandma and uncle rick picked us up. He got to go on the internet which he was excited about, and we just sat on his bed snuggling and laughing and just talking like old times :) We were staying with my grandma so we had to sleep in separate rooms but I snuck into his after she went to bed :devil And um...:sex lol yeah. It was GOOD. And we just layed there, talking and talking. Then I went back to my room and he couldn't sleep so he came and snuggled with me some more till like..3am.

We woke up the next day and I cooked him breakfast and got ready to go over to my Uncle Jim's house to watch the Bears game (by the way, WHAT A GAME!!!). We hung out there for most of the day with my 7yo and 4yo cousins, and their new golden-doodle puppy. Around 4:30 we went to WalMart so he could get some hygene stuff and boxers (they issue tighty whities lol). Then we went to Marishka's (in Plainsfield, IL thats where my fam lives) and had some PoorBoys (yummy!) and visited my other Uncle and his wife. We then came home and played video games in the basement on original nintendo. Again, we just talked and laughed at each other and it was like we hadn't even been apart at all :) And um..lets just say that :sex on basement carpet isn't that comfy. Lol. But we went up around 12 and 'went to bed'. So then I snuck back into his room and :sex :D. We were making up for lost time lol. We were lying there and I asked him if he still wanted to marry me (before he left he said that he wanted to marry me when he was out of the Navy- in four years) and he said "Yes, maybe sooner". So that made my night :) But we both said that we weren't ready yet, which is true. I would rather wait to be with him when I was ready to be in a marraige than rush into it and regret it later. And he feels like that as well.

Monday we played cards most of the day, and then went to White Castle. It was our first time ever eating there (we're both from california and we both LOVE Harold and Kumar). But it gave us indegestion :(. To settle our stomachs we were lying in bed watching tv while I finished knitting a hat for him. We also had his laptop playing music and Fort Minor's "Where'd You Go" came on and we both started crying. We just held each other until we stopped crying. My Uncle Jim came over to take us to the airport and then to take DB to the base, and my Uncle Jay also came over. He was in the Navy with my Dad in the '70's, so they talked about uniforms and such. The drive up was fun, and because DB was in uniform he could walk me to my gate. So we got there, and then decided to go back to where he was to exit, so that we could have more time together. When we were about to get on the escalator up I started crying, and he said that he had been at the point of tears the entire way. We stood there, just crying on each other until he had to go. I felt like we were in a movie. We said goodbye and the entire walk back to the gate I was sobbing. I found out later that he cried the entire way back too.

All in all it was a really good trip :) Now that he's in A school he calls everynight :). But unfortuatly he had strep in bootcamp and didn't know it (he didn't go to the infirmary) so he gave it to me :(. But he ships out of Great Lakes next week and officially starts A school in Pensacola to be an Aircraft Mechanic.

If you want to see pictures I put most of them up on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=505062991) and I also put some up on my Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/ladyoitismylove) and his (a shirtless picture! http://www.myspace.com/shiftrider15).

Enjoy! Oh, and I have video of his graduation, once I figure how to put it on my computer I'll post it on here!

I almost didn't get to go! I didn't have enough money for a plane ticket so my best friend and her boyfriend bought my plane ticket as a christmas present! The both love DB and he loves them too! We both called them from IL and thanked them for bringing us together. She says that she wouldn't of done it if she hadn't of thought it wasn't going anywhere. She's awesome :)

That's so sweet! I'm excited that you got to go, and it sounds like wonderful memories.

I didn't get to go to my DB's bc grad because, well, for one - it was on my BIRTHDAY - and then, I also had school and whatnot, so it just didn't pull through. But I got to see him over winter break, and... yeah... it's definitely nice to be curled back up in their arms again!

Thanks for the sweet story. :)

It's nice to read that kind of thing when I'm getting all psyched up for going to see my Sweetie Pie's graduation on Parris Island in only 12 days. I really can't wait to see him because now it feels real (he got through the Crucible this week!!! :yahoo :cloud9 ). I'm one of the lucky ones whose DI has a website with pics so I have seen how he's looking lately (OH MY GOD, he's always been a HOTTIE to me, but now :drool (L) :drool (L) :drool I'm not sure I'll have self-control enough not to jump him. LOL)

Thanks again for that- it was a great pick me up!
