hello everyone my name is ashley and i have just now got the courage to join one of these groups. My husband just left for deployment yesterday aboard the USS STENNIS and this is our first deployment. We are Newlyweds we got married on October 27th, and i am already finding myself miserable, not wanting to do anything and every little thing reminds me of my husband. I just want him home already and i cant believe how time is going so slow, i was hoping to meet some of you guys to maybe hlep me out with some tips and pointers on how to get through this. and hopefully make some new friends. I am currently back at home (in fresno, ca) while my husband is away , until we get our house ( we are on the waiting list right now) and that is what is helping me through, knowing that we will have our first house together and get to start our family when he gets back, but i was also wondering if anyone here has a spouse on the stennis , and if anyone is from lemoore? hope to meet you all :)

Hello! We're stationed in Lemoore until April. If you're ever around here, let me know and we can meet. I do nothing, so I'm always up to meeting people. We were in Fresno most of the day today. We were at the ice skating place for a bday party. I didn't even know there was one there. Now we're planning on going back real soon, so we could even meet then if you want to! I'll let you know when we go. It won't be until after my baby is born and I heal a little though, but I think it'll be lots of fun.

:hi Welcome to the boards! The first few days of deployments are rough, it takes some adjusting, but after that, the time really does just fly by as long as you give yourself plenty of things to do!

I will be back in Fresno next weekend with my parents for a few months. My dh is deploying so I am going to be with family to help with my son.

Welcome to the group. My Fiance is also on the Stennis. Just take everything one day at a time and once you get in a routine and whatnot, everything seems to go so much smoother and before you know it he'll be home!
