Hi ladies.
I will be moving to Florida next summer/fall and my fiance (soon-to-be husband) is going to be in flight school at NAS Pensacola and then Whiting Field.
So we're looking for places to live closer to Whiting Field.
Do any of you know of any good places? Places to avoid? Things to do?
Thanks!
-Emily

When we lived there we lived out in Perdido Keys.... very nice and away from the more busier places, and RIGHT on the beautiful beach. Its not very far from the back gate of NAS Pcola, and Semi close enough to Whiting.
Good luck.

Oh yeah... places to stay away from... definately ANYTHING near the front gate to NAS Pcola :yes

We never flooded and lived on a canal that led out to the bay. And we where there for a hurricane :wink
From the back gate of Pcola is where I would start.

Also, what cell phone service provider do you (in the Pensacola area) use? Are you happy with the service?
Thanks!

Milton or pace is actually closer to whiting field - though its kind of backwoods and not a lot to do there. I live in the Beulah area which is about 20 minutes from NAS pensacola and 35 minutes from whiting field. We love it out here.

as far as cell phones - we use Cingular now but we have used T-Mobile and Nextel with no problem

When we get closer to knowing when we're moving, I'm sure I'll be looking for some more specifics. *wink* *nudge*

I'll look at Beulah too , thanks.

I'd say Milton or Pace is closest to Whiting field, knew some people who lived there and would pass it all the time on the way to and from their houses from UWF.

Yeah Milton is closer to Whiting. Pace is a pretty good middle between the two. As for there being a lot to do here, there isn't. The beach is the best thing. THey are beautiful!! How long are ya'll going to be here for? We leave in Feb.
