When dh got sea duty I put together a few things for him on V-Day that he could travel with....I got him a journal, put together a photo album that looked like a travel book kinda and left pages where he could add pics of places he would see and such, you could also put some hard candy in there, homemade V-Day card, recipe for the special dinner you want to make him when he comes home, maybe an itenarary of a romantic get a way you would like to go on with him.....just a few idea, hope they help!:D

I'm trying to think but I'm drawing a blank right now :lol What you can do though is google "holiday care packages" or "themed care packages" or even just "care packages" then use some of the ideas you see on the commercial websites. They usually show what their care packages consist of and you can get some pretty good ideas that way :D

putting the care package together will definitely help you both. It will keep you busy and give you something to do and of course he'll love receiving it (L) How much longer will he be over there?

I went to visit him on the weekend of his b-day (9/23/06) and the weekend before that also...he left the first week of October and was told 6 to 7 months over there..(which this is the USMC we're talking about..and that can turn into longer as we all know)...so if it is the 6 to 7 months like they say, he should be back (stateside) in March or April

Lets see -- DB isnt overseas but hes not here n for vday i sent him cookies, candy, boxers/white tshirts (he loves getting those), pictures, a personalized calender, crossword n other puzzles, his favorite magazines, some gum n beef jerkey, and just some fun stuff i picked up at the dollar store -- i get a little outta hand with the packages sometimes:teehee
