Reagan girls are you sending any packages? :) Thanks =Mrs.AiNokeA= 01-28-2007, 04:39 PM When my DH was gone for 4 months I didnt send him anything. But I was chatting to him everyday so maybe that was why. :dunno Shep's Wife 01-28-2007, 04:52 PM Maybe send some homemade goodies or a little note to say hi! It is always nice to get mail, even if you talk everyday over email. Donna 01-28-2007, 04:52 PM When Walter deployed for only that long, i still sent packages and letters. just because it is a shorter amount of time, doesnt make it any easier for them. My neighbor, her DH is on the Reagan, she mailed one out yesterday! LOL =Mrs.AiNokeA= 01-28-2007, 05:14 PM Maybe send some homemade goodies or a little note to say hi! It is always nice to get mail, even if you talk everyday over email. Well for me we chatted for a couple hours almost every day and he didnt really even need anything. :shrug I could have sent him something but didnt really see a point at the time. That is just me I know most ladies will send something but I just didnt. I sent him other things like funny videos and stuff that I found online. He really liked that and I gave him tons of those that he got to share with his friends too. Plus it was a lot faster then having him wait for a package. But if you want to then I say send it because of course it is always nice to get something. :) Tiffany 01-28-2007, 05:49 PM We can't talk online or email right now and I will send him letters, cards, etc. but I didn't know if the packages would get there soon enough because when he was on his first deployment for 7 months it took 1-2 months for the package to get there. Thanks for the responses. =Mrs.AiNokeA= 01-28-2007, 05:50 PM We can't talk online or email right now and I will send him letters, cards, etc. but I didn't know if the packages would get there soon enough because when he was on his first deployment for 7 months it took 1-2 months for the package to get there. Thanks for the responses. Yea that was another reason why I didnt want to send annything. It takes awhile to send it there and I was worried by the time it got there he would be coming home soon anywayz. :dunno USNFFG52 01-28-2007, 06:45 PM Dont mean to intrude but I thought the Reagan was going to follow the Stennis to wherever they are going? Tiffany 01-28-2007, 06:57 PM Dont mean to intrude but I thought the Reagan was going to follow the Stennis to wherever they are going? I don't know where they are going or what they are doing but I know they are going to be gone between those time periods. I don't want to break any rules & say specific dates and locations. :D My man has to come home safe and sound and give me some BABIES !!!!! :lmao Mindy 01-28-2007, 07:39 PM I still would send him stuff. When we're on deployments they always give us a cut off date for packages and letters. They'll let you know when to stop sending them :). Ashnbri 01-29-2007, 01:52 PM I sent DH something on his last short cruise....but I didnt send him a whole lot just some more necessities and some fun stuff for him and the guys to keep busy playing with..I am also planning on sending him this one for this cruise. Tiffany 01-29-2007, 10:44 PM THANKS !!!! dannysgirl004 01-29-2007, 11:41 PM We can't talk online or email right now and I will send him letters, cards, etc. but I didn't know if the packages would get there soon enough because when he was on his first deployment for 7 months it took 1-2 months for the package to get there. Thanks for the responses. My dh is on the Reagan. I am sending him a package this week so MAYBE it will get there before V-Day. The first deployment he was on (as long as I sent them Priority Mail) his packages usually got there in a week to two weeks. I might not send him anymore. It just depends on how long before they really come home:( Usually they tell you when not to send packages anymore. DaPookie 01-30-2007, 01:29 AM I've sent out stuff when db was gone for 5 weeks... Even if he doesn't need anything, he'll enjoy being able to open something from you. Send some silly stuff! THe stores are full of great stupid stuff for V-day. Shaky 01-30-2007, 06:43 AM I still would send them. EscosGurl 01-30-2007, 11:32 AM My DH is on the Reagan and I am gonna send him a package next week, cause he has a birthday and valentines day coming up! ;) Dragonfly76 02-02-2007, 03:10 PM I'm still sending him goodies and whatever he needs. *Crystal* 02-02-2007, 03:13 PM I would still send packages!! |
