I know some of you have done the certificate programs online... I was thinking of maybe doing one of those to have a little something working on my side why I work and go back to school. I was thinking of the Medical Asst because it would give me experience in the hospital or dr setting and may prove beneficial to going back to nursing school. Does anyone know of a legit place to attend online or through home for this? One that the certificate will be accepted?

Anything in the medical field (except admin type stuff like office management, medical billing, etc) will require you to go to a campus and can not be done totally online. You won't be able to get your certificate or license without having a certain number of hours for hands on. That's the onlt major downfall of the nursing and medical field degrees... very little can be done online. So, even for your medical assisting, you will need to be on campus.

Wish I could help you . . . my cousin's going into nursing and is starting her program at the community college. Good luck, Sweetie!!!
