....go back to breastfeeding??? i had to stop when ellie was 3 weeks old cuz i had a couple of surgeries and was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks and was on a whooooole bunch of drugs and stuff. well, i pretty much dried up afterwords. i am able to get maybe an ounce all together, but thats it. so, i talked to my doc about it and she gave me these pills to help me produce milk again, but i'm not sure if i want to go back to doing it. i mean i know that it is the best thing for the baby, but i am really really bad at breastfeeding!! like really bad!! she doesnt like it very much at all, and my boobs are sooo big that if i try to sit normally like in a rocking chair, she cant breath! lol i have to like position her really funny to do it. and it hurts like hell!! only on one side though. but i told my doc that i would really like to do it at night like when we are just laying in bed before we actually go to bed, to just have that bonding time with her, but she said that if i did it, then i would have to do it ALL the time. and that means no bottle!! but the thing is, i am really self consious and cant just whip a boob out in public, and she doesnt like being covered with a blanket while she nurses, so i would have to be fully exposed. and i dont want to pump again...i hated pumping! it just took up soooo much time (longer than it took her to nurse) and my machine is soooooo loud! so i just dont know what to do. i just really want to do it when i am home and at night and thats it, but is that gonna be good enough?? i just dont know! any advice????
if you want to, and your heart is in it... go for it. that's not a decision anyone else can make for you... obviously you thought about it and took the time to see a doctor about it...

Anything is better than nothing. :yes But if you aren't comfortable with it, don't try to force yourself too. It will only make it harder.
You should be able to feed her just at night, but it really depends on your body and your supply. When I went back to work after I had #2 (he was 6 months) I only breastfed him at night, but I had to pump during the day to keep my supply up to do it.
Good luck with whatever you decide!

Also I was horrible at it with my previous kids. Never made it past 2 weeks with any of them. But I was determined and talked to anyone and everyone I could to make it with Sy. If you have taken the time to get the pills, then more then likely you already know what's in your heart. Follow it. If you need help there is a LC at Balboa, haven't used her but heard good things about them. Also read up on it as much as possible. I take Fenugreek to keep a supply in the freezer for when I need to leave him with my mom or T. It works just makes you smell like maple syrup all the time :sick Good luck

If I would have known that I could take pills to start after I had "dryed up" I would have. I feel horrible for not breastfeeding:( If its something that you want to do than I say go for it but if its not and she takes fine to the bottle than that is good too.:)

I breast fed all three of my kids for a year a piece. It is a commitment, but one that I am sure that you are aware is so worth it for your little one.
There is no real trick to getting used to doing it in public. I had the same issue with little heads vs big boobs. I just got really experienced with adjusting the shirt.
If you need some extra support, give me a shout. I just pm'd my number to you.
