What time are you putting him down? How long are his nap(s)?
It could be he is getting more than enough sleep, or not going to bed early enough.

Do you have a bedtime routine?
All of my kids have a routine and they only complain/fight when we end up going off the routine. A routine should be about an hour MAX. That's bath, baby massage, books, songs, couting, quiet time, etc...

OR.......
It could just be that toddler stubborness coming out. In which case... :hugs Don't give in, you are the mom, he is the child. ;)

He wakes up at 7am and is down to only one nap a day, 2 hrs at the most, usually 2-4pm, the routine we follow before bed is bath, story time, last bottle of milk and he is usually out at around 9pm, but now after he drinks his milk he wants to keep playing, last night he finally fell asleep close to midnight...

ella was the same way. She would get her bath and then bottle. But after her bottle she would get her second wind and want to play. So what we did is let her play til 9:30 and then put her down. That's what worked for us. Good luck

CIO...Val has had a very stable bed time routine and when she started doing that I just let her cry it out...maybe he needs a little cat nap inbetween getting up in the morning and going down for a nap at 2? it is 7 hours! Hope you figure something out!
