For those that have been sick during pregnancy...did it take longer than usual to recover and did you feel worse than you normally would when not pregnant?

I have had a cold/cough for almost 3 weeks and Sunday I ended up spending the night in the hospital:inshock. They gave me fluids, cold medicine and antibiotics but I feel like CRAP. I have never been sick while pregnant (must have been very lucky!) and I just cannot believe I feel this bad over the flu/cold. I have to go back to work tomorrow and I feel like death...I just hope it ends soon...:lol :sadeyes

i got a cold twice while preggo and the most it wouldlast was like 3 dys.. all i would take was hot lemonades with honey... every 3 hrs.. it worked so well for me that i still do the same whenever i catch a cold.. hope you feel better soon!

I'd day yes, when your preggo it can take a few extra days to get better

Yeah I got bronchitis real bad when I was in my 1st triemster. Your immune system is lowered during pregnancy so it can take long to go away. Some hot water, lemonjuice and honey works good to soothe the throat and help a cough.
