What age were your kiddos when you started them on a sippy?

DD was 6 months when we gave her one, she mainly played with it!! Once she was around 8 months she finally knew what it was for!! We had to go through like three different kinds before we found out she would drink out of!!

Around 6-7 months...

she was 5 months when I gave her one. We went through tons of cups and about 9 months she was drinking out if it.

Nathan is almost 6 months and goes nuts trying to grab my water bottle every time I take a drink so I'm thinking he's just about ready for a sippy :cp Funny thing is the little turkey won't even take a bottle :nutts

Ethan started with sippy cups around 7 months. He got the hang of the straw sippy cups first at 8 months.

6 months also. She kept grabbing my cup or my water bottle so I knew it was time for her to have her own :)

Breanna was 12 months and Johnny was 10 months. Breanna gave me no problems what so ever. Johnny on the other hand kept fighting me and would sit there and chew on the mouth piece so it took me 2 months to get him to take a sippy cup. He hated the hard mouth piece so I got those Nubies and now he'll take any kind of sippy cup.

I started him at 9 months and he didn't care for it, then I tried again at 10 months and he was more willing to try it, now he's doing ok, doesn't like it as much as the bottle but he drinks from it.

dd only chews on it.. i have tried just about all of them out there.. :(
