Thanks ladies! I will be 30 weeks on Sunday so im being diagnosed early with it by her standards. I know Brandi had it and she did good.

Im just a little freaked. Maybe thats why I havent been feeling well lately!

The good news is they cought it and can do something. It could be much worse if they didn't know and found out when something happened.

:yes
Im so glad they found it now for you!
They didnt find mine. Ds almost died durning birth, his heart rate dropped to nearly 5 bpm and stayed there long enough for them to sound alarms and rush in and take me to OR. Once he was out he was GREAT! Me on the other hand, lost LOTS of blood, and I was in the ICU for 5 hours before I could even see my son :(
All because my STUPID Dr didnt see the signs and didnt test me AT ALL!

You are very lucky to be diagnosed so soon! Now they will know exactly how to take care of you and make sure everything goes smooth! Dont worry, you wont end up like I did.

Thank you for sharing your story with me! I really appreciate it. SEE something like that has been my fear all my life.

I am VERY glad she caught it now. My midwife in San Diego didnt even care about it at all! She said everything was normal. :mumble

BUT im glad it got caught early and now they can care for me better.

That is what my Dr said too. It wasnt a military Dr though.
Sounds like you have a VERY good midwife!

Gosh, did you go to NTC? Mine didn't catch mine either. I gained a lot of weight because of it. She just kept sending me to the dietician... My blood pressure was high too, and she acted like it was no big deal. I saw a different doctor around 34 weeks because she was out and they started sending me to fetal assessment to be monitored. Then at 35 weeks before Labor Day weekend on a Tuesday I got in from work and felt "weird" so I drove down to CVS and used their blood pressure machine and my bp was higher than it had been at any of my previous appointments so I went to L&D. They monitored me, my bp came down they had me do a 24 hour urine test. Wednesday I collected pee, Thursday I turned it in & had an appt. w/ my regular midwife/nurse/whatever and told her what happened and she assured me she would get my lab results from Balboa and call me if I needed to go in. She said if I didn't hear from her no news was good news. So Labor Day weekend came and went then on Tuesday morning after the long weekend I had my weekly visit to fetal assessment and the doctor there who signs off on charts pulled me back in her office and wanted to know HOW someone missed my test results. She was mad that someone let me slip through the system like that. I left from there to go to L&D to be induced. My bp was high, the protein count in my urine was off the charts and I was suppsedly losing fluids.

At any rate, after all that drama I have a relatively uneventful labor, though they had lots of doctors on hand during the delivery just in case. Everything went smoothly and I have a healthy and happy little girl :) So chances are you'll be a-ok. They caught it in plenty of time and I'm sure everything will progress fine.

you will be fine. i had preeclampsia and was induced at 38 weeks. everything went really well. the only thing that sucks is that you will have to be there longer cuz you have to have magneseum (which they slowly wean you off, and you have to stay 24 hours after its completely off of you) but other than that, its not bad at all. put it this way...they will do anything they can to make your pain go away cuz they dont want your blood pressure to rise....that means you dont have to wait for an epidural!! i was barely a centimeter when they gave me mine lol!! good luck hone!!

I'm sorry Dustie!! But it is really good that they found it early. My Mom had it with my sister and it was almost too late. She had a dumb doctor though. Everything will be fine. Good luck.
