I'm just curious to see what different ideas you ladies used for your weddings

We got married in Hawaii, it was wonderful, we got married on Waimanalo beach with family and friends. Zack was in his blues and he looked smashing. The train of my dress had a coral color lining to it, and it went with the colors of the plumerias I had for my bouquet. The bridesmaids had the same coral color dress with yellow plumeria bouquets. We had a dinner party/reception at the Royal Hawaiian where we were staying at. Then a few days later we left for 2 weeks in Bora Bora it was absolutely perfect. We also had a big reception when we got back home for the other guests that couldn't make it to Hawaii.

Here's a picture of what the ceremony looked like in Hawaii

our wedding was pretty simple...
we were married in front of a fireplace the guy who married us had known me for many yrs prior so it was our wedding gift. our colors were red, and black.... it was a dale earnhart senior theme (my hubby is a huge fan) my profile pic is an actually wedding pic. thats the dress i wore and thats the outfit he wore. it was an unrehearsed wedding and it showed LoL it was perfect for us it stayed true to who we both are. my aunt did all the flowers she was also my maid of honor. a family friend did the cake (growing up she always told me and mom she would... her and mom go way back to before i was born) my uncle was the best man. we had a very shy flower girl. and our ring bearer had to be carried down the aisle by his dad. my dad walked me down but forgot to give me away so after a long pause my mom said "we all do" which was followed by chuckles. the reception was also kept simple. we didnt really have a honey moon. on our way home we stopped at burgerville. the next day my hubby had duty. LoL

We had a small outdoor wedding in Va. We were in a gazebo and our guest sat around it. Thank God it was a beautiful ay because we had no back up plan. I had an 2 violin players and 1 on the viola and a fried of the family married us. I had a beautiful gown and DH was in a tux. My bridesmaids wore ruby red gowns. We had a small reception after. it was also my Mom's bday so we suprised her with heer own cake and sang Happy Birthday. After we went to my parents and had the REAL party. We spent that weekend at the beach and left for the Bahamas for a week.

We got married at Manresa Castle in Port Townsend, WA. It was wonderful :) It was a crisp December day. When I woke up on my wedding day I turned on the TV, it was all over the news we'd just captured Sadaam...so even the US armed forces gave me a wedding gift :) The man that married us was a very good friend of mine, which made the ceremony even more special. We had about 100 guests I'd say...in a word, it was perfect. (L)

We got married in West Chester Ohio which is north of cincinnati! He was stationed in Hawaii at the time, his family lives in Tenn, my family was in Michigan and I was living in SC with mom and dad! It was crazy, but our wedding was beautiful! I had a harpest and my sister played her flute with the harpest....I think that even though every wedding is different....they're all beautiful!

We were married on a cliff overlooking the ocean in La Jolla, CA. Besides the minister, only his Mom could make it for a guest, but that's ok. It was very short noticed. I wore a dress & he wore a tux and it was perfect (L)

We did a small winter wedding at his mom's house in her living room. Both mother's bought and made food. (things like ham bisquits, cheese and crackers, candies, and some other kinds of foods) We didn't have music, we all just talked and eat together. It wasn't a big fancy wedding but it turned out great considering it was put together in less than a month. The greatest thing was that since I was a little girl I always wanted a winter wedding with snow..and it snowed on my wedding day :) It was really great and we got some great pics out of it.

We got married in a simple wedding at the courthouse here in town. I was about 8 months pregnant with Laney so I bought a cute maternity sundress. But it was so sweet...the judge laughed a little because we had a hard time getting my wedding rings on (thank you swollen pregnant hands.) It was a gorgeous day outside, bright blue skies, it was actually warm so I could wear my dress without a wrap on or anything. My brother and his girl friend came up for the ceremony as did a couple of people Josh works with. It was small but sweet. I'd like to have a renewal of our vows with maybe a bigger ceremony/reception for our 5 or 10 year anniversary but then again maybe not.

We got married at The Larimore House in St Louis. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding
http://www.360stlouis.com/larimorehouse/

and then had our reception on a River Boat on the Mississippi River...

http://www.gatewayarch.com/Arch/info/grp.wed.riverboat.aspx

It was such a fun reception. The river boat was 3 levels - dancefloor, buffet and seating on the lower level. The second level was seating that was opened up to the dancefloor which was really cool for taking pictures of the dancing. The upper level was open air. What a view of the Arch!
We actually went out on a cruise down the Mississippi river. The captain took us down one way for an hour and turned around and went back towards the arch...then we were docked for the last hour. It was a fun and memorable reception.
