Does any one find that in the military, there is alot of CC debt? We are fighting it. Are we the only ones?:banghead

It's not just the military....it seems to be an epidemic in the US....

Us too. We're treading water, but not really advancing towards the shore...but we have a plan that we implemented in January, and that's a start :) So far so good this year!

Your not wrong. CC debt is a huge epidemic. I have been successful waging the war on debt with financial peace university.

You're not alone. We're working on it. Little by little. It will be better if I get this job I'm trying to get.

We are working on it...but it is getting to the point i don't know what to do. I can't wait for our last tax form so we can get this one cc paid off.

You are not alone. We started working on this since right before we got married and THANK GOD! we just have one CC left to pay off and that's going down completly when dh leave for deployment this summer.

i dont know if any of you know about this, hell i only found out a few weeks ago. Theres an act called the Sailors & Soldiers Act. If your husband is deployed the credit card companies have to lower your interest rate to 6%. and if he has been gone for a few months already they have to go back and re-adjust, so if you dont owe that much theres a good chance the whole bill will get cancelled out.

Trouble started when I was an 18 year old college student, I was walking by one of those freaking stands offering the free gift. Damn the free gift! Why did I need the free gift!?!

Oh well, life lesson learned. Credit cards suck in general unless you can pay them off right away. We're getting closer to getting rid of most of them this year...at least that's the plan.

I think that there is a lot of people fighting the CC trap! Your are most definitly not alone.

We only have one left to pay off with a balance of $1200. So we are doing good for now. We plan on using one of the cards to go home for Christmas this year, so we'll be dealing with the debt all over again next year.

I always pay mine off right away.
