View Full Version : Gift help! (Seems to be that season!)
So, holidays/events in my life like to pile up right around each other. My parents' birthdays, besides being within a month of each other, are within a week of the appropriate Mother's/Father's day. Gah.
My birthday happened to be the day DB graduated from bc, along with our 7 month anniversary. And, I didn't see him until Christmas (a month later), so I had lots of time/gifts to make up for.
All well and good - I had some five months to work on it.:duh
Now I'm just out of ideas! Someone mentioned valentine's gifts, which I posted in, and it's all sweet and exciting. (I'm getting DB a giant white blood cell stuffy)... but our one year anniversary is coming up on me the first week of march, and I might actually be able to see him for it.:cp
:hairout So, uh, help? :dunno There's just too many important things close together, and I'm not even sure what one gets a boyfriend on general principle for a one year anniversary! :worried Suggestions, ideas, stories, commiserations? Anything?
You all rock in advance...:lovestruck
Marinegurl808 02-07-2007, 12:59 AM for an aniversary type of gift I think a love letter, pictures, maybe a video or something that you guys loved to watch together, basically just memories of how it was back then. I would say flowers though I'm not sure if your guy is into that. I hope it helps it's not much but it's something! Good luck! :thumbsup
Carlye<3Sailor 02-07-2007, 01:13 AM For our one year -- hmm .. oh yeah i remember... i was the one who wanted to make all the plans ... but he did do, so we split the evening.. i was first .. this is gonna sound real weird, hah..
well he brought me breakfast n bed n roses.. then we went n had massages together, then when we went out to lunch n then went to the beach for the day.. when we got back i sent him on a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood while i set up the house : candles, music, i made dinner , got dressed up n a cute skirt n stuff.. then when he came back from the scavenger hunt i gave him his present .. a watch and a photo album with pictures of our first year .. he gave me mine, a beautiful bracelet.. then we ate dinner, n dessert.. n well, then we had fun...
After we cleaned up from dinner it was his turn.. so we took a shower n got dressed up n went to downtown annapolis n shopped n walked around.. then he took me to the beach we went to on our first date and he had had his friend write out i love you in candles on beach n a blanket n wine layed out.. so we talked on the beach for HOURS... !! it was ADORABLE!!!!
Carlye<3Sailor 02-07-2007, 01:15 AM ...for our two year we went on a vacation and our 3 year we went to six flags n i bought him cowboys/redskins tix and he gave me a promise ring..
i just startd planning our 4 year -- hot air balloon ride!!
intothedark 02-07-2007, 02:22 AM Our one year is a day before yours! Lol. I've been wondering what to get DB for our anniversary as well.
Um...this is what I'm doing for Valentines day but you could modify it for your anniversary..I'm taking construction paper hearts that I've made and I write a special note on each of them for each year we've known each other and didn't celebrate valentines day together..so you could do 12 for each month you've been together!
Jennie 02-07-2007, 03:00 AM For our first dating anniversary, I flew out to see him. That was my present to him. He got us a hotel room, complete with candles, "our songs" playing, a drawing he drew of me, and a card.
For our first wedding anniversary, I've said his birthday/Valentine's Day/wedding anniversary is an xbox 360, but I'll probably end up getting him something else or planning something. I haven't really decided yet, I still have a month to decide.
But any gift from the heart is better than a gift than a gift you spend tons of money on. Good luck on trying to decide on something!
