So hubby and I decided to TTC. But his parents aren't too fond of me, and my parents have told us to wait. Is it bad if we just don't tell them we're trying and only tell them when it happens? I really don't want the lectures from either end!!! So I think we should just not say anything. But will this cause hurt feelings? And if I should tell them, how do I do it and avoid all of the questions??? I don't want them to ruin this happy giddy everythings perfect feeling I have. LOL

uhh we aren't telling anyone when we do TTC, we won't even announce our pregnancy until at least 13 weeks

we never said anything. but then again 3 out of 4 of mine are birth control babies. But even the one we were trying for we didnt say anything. for us TTC is a personal thing between TWO people. no one needs to know anything.

I don't think it's anyone's business when you start trying. If you WANT to tell, then tell them and too bad if they don't like it.Tell em all after your're pregnant and if they throw a fit it's on them.

This is YOUR life and YOUR marriage and you should feel comfortable doing what you want with your own little family!

We never announced our TTC. I think it's more of a surprise when you announce you're preggo. When you inform people that you're TTCing then again that you're preggo 2 months later or so, I feel the "surprise effect" isn't as great...

We didn't tell anyone that we were TTC...He told his mom but we never discussed it or brought it up other than him saying that we were kinda trying. our reasoning was because I didn't want to constatly hear the are you pregnant yet? and when ever I tell anyone I didnt feel good maybe it is because you are preg. I dont tihnk it is bad i do think it is bad if you dont tell them that you are preg eventually lol.

I really don't think it's anyone's buisness if you want to start TTC. You tell people because you want too, but you don't have to. It's none of their buisness unless you want it to be.

I agree it is a personal thing between you and your DH. With me, I told my mom and my MIL when we were TTC with #2. We were thinking of trying again in March and the only people we told were my mom and dad. BUt they were praying that it would happen! SO that is the only reason we told them.

Only my friends know we are (or will be again when he comes back lol) ttc. We haven't told our families.

both our parents were against us ttc at first but they got over it and learned to accept it. It is your life, don't let them run it.

I told mine, endured the lectures and moved on.
