Pepper Sprayed? The new Navy policy is leaning more and more to everyone having to be sprayed that way they can carry pepper spray. I know that today will be my sixth time being sprayed, how many of you's SO's have been sprayed once or multiple times?

just curious how many other people had to go through this utter stupidity. This logic makes no sense you must be sprayed to know what it feels like so that you can carry the spray. Using this logic.. wouldn't you have to shoot yourself to know how it feels in order to carry a gun?

Don't they do the same with stun guns? I've seen where the cops have to get stunned before they issue one. I guess their reasoning is that if you know how bad it hurts, you'll think hard about using it to quickly, like going trigger happy with it. I think it would do the opposite.

Yeah I'd have to agree...it's silly. It's not like they make the MPs take a bullet so they can carry a sidearm, right? I still don't think it was as bad as the gas chamber in boot. But then I was the last one out so...of course I'd remember it well.

My dh was in that chamber on his 21st birthday, he said he would never forget.

I don't think its worse then the gas chamber it just takes effect faster. The gas chamber sucks when your last name starts with a z :)

DH has been through this. Had to when he was doing security something or other in Groton. ASnd if I remember right he said he might have to go through it again soon for some reason or another.

My Dh has been sprayed once. We even have it on video. They had to do the whole obstacle course thing after.

Dh just told me nope he has never been sprayed and he has been in for almost 19 yrs.

Donte has been sprayed because he's an MA {master at arms} I think it's been twice so far. He still had it on his face when I came to pick him up and it got on me and ouch gosh that stuff hurt!!! I can't imagine being sprayed directly in the eyes.

If i remember right you do the same thing as my husband and he's NEVER had to do it... but he also doesn't carry pepper spray... When he read this he was like.. shit, I've never been sprayed lol

My man has been sprayed so many times he's lost count, but he's also been in the Navy for 17 years...
