I went for my post op today and meet with the DR.. that all went fine...then I started to get dressed and starting throwing up. Luckly there was a sink. I felt light headed and nauseous and then the next thing I know I am on my back loooking at the ceiling. I don't think I have even passed out. It scared the daylights(literally) out of me. I guess it is not a big deal because I got up and just sat for a bit. I have slept most of the day. I have been taking in fluids so it just scared me. I know I am also reacting to the Erythromycin. It makes me feel awful. Only two more days of that though. I just wanted opinions. It has never happened to me.:sick :tears :tears

I've passed out before due to my sugar level being so low.

Did you mention it to the nurse or doctor while you were there?

Do you think that you could call the doc and talk to them about getting a different prescription?? Don't think that you should be puking and passing out!!

I have passed out many times. For me its no big deal except the falling and the pain that comes with the dead weight of my body slamming into the ground. I'd mention it to your DR. you never can tell why it happened.

I have passed out because of my blood sugar being low. Not fun. Did the Dr say anything?

I've passed out from my blood sugar being too low and heat exhaustion...
not lately though. More when I was in grade school. By college it had pretty much disappeared, but I think I passed out twice in college.

I am pretty sure it was the med and vomiting(Dr agreed) The Erythromicin(sp?) made my heart feel as if it would jump out of my chest. I slept most of yesterday. It scared the heck out of me. One minute I am standing up then next I am on the floor. I don't like the out of control feeling. It scared me. Thanks for all the advice. I can't imagine what it feels like to have it happen multiple times like some of you have had. YIKES

I have only apssed out from being dehydrated. It was while I was pregnant. It is very scary. As long as you spokke with the doctor then I would just take it easy for the next few days. Feel better soon!

I am allergic to erythromicin. It makes me throw up and my heart race as well.

I've only passed out once. It was right after having Breanna. I'm not sure if that was due to blood loss or my sugar being low sine I hadn't eaten in something like 14-15 hours. I came really close right after a pelvic this past July. The dr. went to sit me up and was talking to me when I said I can't do this right now I have to lay down. The nurse and dr. ran around trying to find me something to eat. All they had was some of those nilla wafers. After a few of those I was fine so that was due to my sugar being low. I hope you're feeling better and everything is alright.

I've never passed out before but what scares me the most is hitting my head. When DH and I went to the local McDonalds on a reallly hot summer day the girl who was taking our order passed out mid sentence and everyone heard her head hit the tile floor. What was worse is her co-workers didnt help her but said "dang did you see that?" to eachother. I wonder if I ever passed out if nice people would help me?

One of the side affects of erythromicin is emesis - I'm sorry that it's happening to you :hugs I generally pass out 2-3 times a year - I have really low blood pressure so if I don't sit or lie down straight away if I'm feeling dizzy I just faint. It's really embarassing when I'm in surgery!!

I passed out when I was pregnant all the time. Never landed on my tummy, praise God. It was wicked though, it got to the point where I could I was going to, so if I sat down and put my feet up I usually wouldn't. It really sucked though, at least I worked at a hospital, so people did come to my aid.

i pass out kinda frequently due to a couple health problems i have, and one time when i was still in highschool, i was in the handicapped stall of the bathroom during lunch and i passed out, and NO ONE came and helped me...

BUT, someone did see me, on the floor, and decided to take my purse...

i swear, i have never been so mad...

I have before and the doctors ran all these tests cuz they thought at first it was something wrong in my brain like a tumor or something...but it wasn't...then they thought my heart was doin somethin funky so i had to wear a heart monitor and go through a Echocardiogram (or something like that) and that came out normal...so the doctors just concluded it was stress. All that trouble...for just stress..:lol

I have passed out a lot... up to 6times in one day... erithromicen *sorry about spelling* made me pass out because it did something to my body. As long as your dr. says that you are ok.. trust him unless it keeps happening then ask for a second opinion
