when you are watching your temps, keeping high temps is better when you are pregnant? About how many days before AF will your temp drop? If its not till the day before or so, how are temps supposed to help you see if you are pregnant? And if something like stress keeps your period away, will your temp stay high until your period is about to start? Thanks

My temps stayed high the entire time after I ovulated. Mine dipped again about 8 DPO below coverline and then way back up again. They are still high now. Im not sure if they lower before AF or not... This was my first month temping so I didn't have any experience either.
Im praying for you Sarah! (L)

Your temp will drop a couple days before AF usually. Sometimes the day before. Thats the progesterone leaving your body and causing the dip. I dunno about if stress keeps your period away if temps will still be high. I would kinda lean towards yes because something needs to be in place to keep your period away like progesterone and thats what causes your temps to stay high. So I would think, if stress is keeping your period away, stress is keeping your progesterone elevated. I could be wrong tho.

I know on fertility friend there is an area to compare charts and such. You can look thru them and see. I used their message boards when I temped but I bought the lifetime membership (when they still had it) and the boards used to have a free area. I think they got rid of that.

Temps "can" help to see if you are pregnant because sometimes you get a triaphsic chart meaning the temps stay high even beyond when your period was due. Like when I got pregnant with Ethan. I was above coverline confirming ovulation. Stayed above coverline. Had 1 small dip around 6dpo which was implantation, then went back up. They stayed up even beyond when my period was due. Had they of dropped I woulda known AF was on her way. Fertility friend doesnt really advocate testing before a missed period. So if your temps stay high beyond a missed period then people test....However, Once you ARE pregnant it is best to STOP temping. Your temps flucuate bigtime during pregnancy and it will cause you more worry then good.

G'luck to you
