I was wondering if toddlers can get car sick?


Jacob puked twice in the car today going up in the foothills but has been fine since. I get car sick all the time unless I sit in the front seat. My dad is the same way as well. My gma said that when my dad was little he got car sick.

SOOOO just wondering if it was possible?

I most certainly think even a toddler can get motion sickness. Kinda like spinning your child around by the arms to fast...lol!

Lance gets sick when we take a certain way to the airport back home! Everytime we go that way he throws up!!

OMG YES!! DS is 7 and has had it bad for years. I can go to a stop sign or a 3 hour drive. I have to give him dramimine everytime we get in a car. This year was his first on the bus so I worry all the time. He has a throw up bag in his backpack and I have a bucket in my car. The Dr checked him out and their is no other problem except his motion sickness. He is to young for the patch so he takes the other until then.

Jaxon gets it pretty bad sometimes also!

I can so sympathize...My equillibrium has been screwed since I was very little. I can't spin in a complete circle without wanting to puke... it sucks. I usually am fine if Im driving or in the front seat. Except when Im preggo... then I am car sick within minutes.
Jerron took after Paul and can spin ride anything and doesn't get car sick. I hate it...

thanks ladies it is good to know that its possible. I can get it bad. I was just worried that he was getting sick but had NO other symptoms or puked again!

I get carsick and have since I was a toddler. It sucks. My parents kept an empty coffee can in the car just for me.

I used to get car sick...mom moved me to the middle of the back seat...good air flow and only crackers and juice :)

My SIL her 9yo and 18mo get car sick as well as she does. So yeah they can...

We use to have that problem with my sister...We drove to Scottsdale one time and she puked the whole way there! She was about Jacobs age at the time...

NOT FUN! Sometimes fresh air seemed to help her...good luck.
