I have friend that just found out shes pregnant and she just asked if I had Prime or Standard insurance for my pregnancy, apparently she didnt know that you have to enroll to Prime, so since she has Standard, what does she have to do to get Prime so she can start going to the Dr without having copays and all that??

Also what does she do when the baby is born to get the baby on Prime once its born! DH did all that for me but I believe he put the baby on the page 2 then just went and to Tricare and they just did it!!

She just needs to go to the tricare place at the hospital and pick a booklet and fill it out. There should be someone there to help her, if she needs it.

She can go to the tricare site and print out the form for prime and send it in.

As for baby...Baby is covered under the mothers prime for 60 days. You have to fill out a form for the new baby too. Once you fill that out baby is covered by their own prime as well
