Victoria 02-28-2007, 03:24 PM If I was able to produce a whole lot, I'd freeze it and have hubster use it when I was out. :)
ETA: I voted No.
Teresa 02-28-2007, 03:28 PM I think I would.. if I had any extra! Right now I never get a chance to really "fill" up :lol
yeah I would. I actually tried to but they wanted about 3x what was in my freezer!:nutts
I would donate...I'd never take donated milk for my baby, but I would donate mine.
harrisonsdream 02-28-2007, 03:57 PM :dunno i don't have kids yet so i can't answer yet
Scarlett 02-28-2007, 04:50 PM I would defiently donate...if I made more than was needed by my son
Amanda 02-28-2007, 04:51 PM if I could I would but I dont' think I'd take it though
Shep's Wife 02-28-2007, 04:52 PM I would if I could, but I have never had much to give :shrug
leftover 02-28-2007, 05:07 PM I would, but I would really really want to meet the baby that drank my milk later... just so I could see...
IgglesmumX2 02-28-2007, 05:28 PM I was looking into it with DD right before I got mastitis and dried up. I'm also one of the people who would have no problem taking breast milk for my kids.
SezzySue 02-28-2007, 07:58 PM If i had it then I would
RockstarMom 02-28-2007, 08:09 PM If Kilian wasn't such a breastfeeding piggy, then yeah. He refuses to eat solid foods though.
TrishaM 02-28-2007, 09:52 PM I personally IN MY OPINION! I think its kinda disgusting. Thats me though so please dont get mad at me for say that. I wouldnt want my child drinking some strange persons breast milk.
Tiffany 02-28-2007, 10:00 PM I wouldnt be able to do that. It seems like way too much stuff to go through. How am I suppost to know that my milk is really going to a child and not some weird science experiment. Ya never know now a days.
I think the main people who use breastmilk that has been donated is preemies in the NICU since it's easier on their belly to digest and sometimes that Mom isn't producing it for some reason. Other times the baby just can't tolerate formula so the parent will use donated breastmilk. I've actually read up on it and would do it but I have only pumped when my babies were in the NICU.
*~*Terri*~* 02-28-2007, 10:40 PM I would, but I never had enough for even my kids!!
Jennie 02-28-2007, 10:40 PM I personally IN MY OPINION! I think its kinda disgusting. Thats me though so please dont get mad at me for say that. I wouldnt want my child drinking some strange persons breast milk.
My thoughts EXACTLY.
Victoria 03-01-2007, 01:40 AM I agree with you 100% Trisha!
NavyWife725 03-01-2007, 08:35 AM I think I would... I don't know though. There are just so many babies out there that would benefit from it. One woman in another forum where this was posted, brought up this point: "What if the milk was going to under privileged children that could die without donated milk." I mean, in that case, I would start pumping all the time and sending it someones way. There are just some moms that can't produce at all, and if that is what the baby needs, at least there are others that will step up and give it where it's needed. And I think that if I was in the situation, I would take some too. I would do just about anything for the health and well being of my girls.
Chevy_Gurl 03-01-2007, 11:19 AM If they allowed Fenugreek to be in donated BM then I would donate my surplus without a second thought. There are so many babies in the world & NICU that should have BM over formula and they can't get it. :no If I was able to help a child recieve the nutrients that they need desperately over the crap in formula I would be more then honored to do it.
Scarlett 03-01-2007, 08:14 PM its pasteurised just like cows milk....whats the big deal? noone worries about drining "some strange cows milk"
mElIsSaE 03-02-2007, 02:44 AM I would but I don't produce alot.
jennyb 03-02-2007, 08:49 AM I think I would donate if I was able but I dont think I would take it for my kids.
~Jess~ 03-02-2007, 09:14 AM I would
