okay ladies, for those of you who have gotten married, did ya'll do the morning after brunch with the bridal party? a lot ofpeople have told me that that would be a good idea to do especially if df (then dh) and i can't do our honeymoon right after since we'll be moving because we'd get to spend some more time with family and close friends before we leave.
i am asking this too because df and i won a $100 off at hardrock cafe downtown houston if we spend 1,000 or more. its too far to do the reception there or the rehersal. i was thinking like a bridal brunch or luncheon or something. they have pre-planned menus from like $20-$42 per person but i don't know. help please

We did not have a morning after brunch. But it sounds like a lot of fun!

I've never been to the Houston hard Rock. is it nice?

We didn't. We married on a Sat and our honeymoon started Monday. So Sat night my dad got us the presidential suite at embassy suites and then we spent all sunday together, slept at home sunday night and left early Monday morning.

It sounds like fun tho! I say do it if ya'll are going to be there and you want to!!

yeah the Houston Hard Rock is pretty nice, its near the theater district. if we have the morning after brunch it'll be if we have to move right after we get married, which probably will happen unless i can move some of our stuff sooner. it is looking like the date is set for december 30th.

We didn't do that. We went to our honeymoon right straight from our reception. That does sounds nice though. But I would not push my honeymoon to do that. Not meaning that that's what you're doing ;)

We're going to have a brunch at my parents house the next day... his aunt is supposedly getting us a room at the embassy and then we'll come back to my house that morning since our flight leaves at 5pm that day. We want to be able to spend as much time with everyone and not have to drive around all day. We figure everyone can come over to my house and we can say one big goodbye rather than a WHOLE bunch of them. We'll have 10 hours on a plane together so we can spend Sunday with our families!

We had a morning brunch, it was our way to say goodbye to all of our out of town guests! We just had it at my grandparent house, we had food catered in, it was layed back and fun. We also opened all of our gifts then too!

Nope we had the rehearsal, the ceremony and the reception.
We left straight for our honeymoon too from the reception
