I have to ask the WIC nutritionist for some help on getting Kilian to eat solid foods. He HATES them! Doesn't matter what it is, he won't eat it. Won't even attempt. He'll munch on a biter biscut rarely, but he treats it more like a toy than food. He won't even take a pumped bottle and we have tried it with him since he was an infant. Developmentally, he is ready to eat solids. He's just stubborn.:suspect
It's really making me crazy. He's just over 7 months old and he won't even let the spoon near his mouth.
Oh, he also hasn't pooped in a week. :scared I am waiting for the big blowout to happen. :hide

Are you giving him jarred foods or your own foods? I found w/ Katrina who was a full time nurser that b/c they get alot of what we eat through our milk, that she didn't like the bland baby foods, so I was starting to cook foods myself and then puree them in my food processor. It sucks but might help. Also, I read in my Mothering Mag (www.mothering.com) that they suggest trying to avoid the "cereals" b/c they don't offer the flavor. I know Earths Best and Gerber organic foods tend to have more flavor to them...

I hope you have success. With this little Aiden I plan to start with homemade baby food from the start b/c I remember feeling like every mealtime was a struggle and I hated the feeling. Also, try putting in some of your breastmilk into the foods? Oh, have you tried another kind of bottle to see if perhaps he just dislikes that nipple or something.
