View Full Version : I'm in soooo much pain
~Jess~ 03-13-2007, 06:45 PM This nerve pain is killing me. The sciatic(sp) nerve that is. I never had this with ella but OMG it's so painful. I have it almost all day everyday sometimes worse then others. Well right now is the worst. I can't sit comfy or stand without almost falling, I can't drive b/c it effects my leg that I drive with. I just don't know how much longer I can handle it. I have 74 days till my due date but that's seems so far and I'm hurting bad. :(
sunshyne 03-13-2007, 06:51 PM That's horrible! Is there anything safe that you can take to help the pain?
~Jess~ 03-13-2007, 06:53 PM Last time I took tylonal landen was VERY lazy and it made me nervous.
RockstarMom 03-13-2007, 06:53 PM Can you do any stretches to help with the pain? :(
:hugs Sorry girl.
I have had bad sciatic nerve pain since way before I got preggo, and it has already acted up.
It really is a pain in the ass. And there is nothing that helps :( Just be careful with walking, I know I almost fall over, like my leg almost gives out when I have it.
~Jess~ 03-13-2007, 06:59 PM Can you do any stretches to help with the pain? :(
I tried that the other day and it took me like 10 mins to get up b/c it seems to make it worse. I really thought stretching would make it feel better but it doesn't. It feels like a pinched nerve or when I pull my back out. It's the most awful pain.
mrskmw 03-13-2007, 06:59 PM I'm right there with you! Some days are just downright miserable :( :hugs
Rachael 03-13-2007, 07:14 PM ughh
thats horrible, I went through it this last time also!
going to the chiro was the ONLY thing that helped :(
Callie 03-13-2007, 07:18 PM Try a hot bath or tiger balm. I know that might not help, but it did help a little with mine.
wolfspawprint 03-13-2007, 07:30 PM NO HEAT! You'll make it worse. Ice and tylenol are what my Dr. recommended for it. Other than that, I don't think there is much help.
Cherrish 03-13-2007, 07:33 PM When I was pregnant with DD I had really bad pelvic area pains, and when I would stand for more than 30 minutes at a time, my middle and lower back would ache horribly....my doctor prescribed me Tylenol 3, but told me not to take them too often because the codeine can be addictive to the baby.
Ask your doctor if he/she can give you something a little stronger than just regular Tylenol for it.
I know that getting on all fours helps too....it brings the weight of the baby off your back. It felt so good to me that I used to spend hours on the floor. :giggle
A heating pad set to the lowest setting helped too, and also a rice sock.
MelissaMc424 03-13-2007, 07:33 PM I feel your pain girl! I still have bouts of sciatica and DD is 2 1/2.. I had problems with it pre-pregnancy though, so I know that's why I still have issues!
~Jess~ 03-13-2007, 08:41 PM I'm so scared to take tylonel you guys. I've only taken it once this pregnancy and when I did he was very very lazy and it made me super paranoid. I'm going to have hubby message it for me tonight and I will try the on all fours position just not around hubby he's been a sex crazed maniac lately :lol
akpnjg 03-13-2007, 09:12 PM Try chiropractor and maybe go get yourself a massage. Wish you best of luck!
Frankie Lee 03-13-2007, 09:57 PM I take the Hylands leg cramp medication that is OTC at Walmart. It's all natural, and my OB said it was fine.
She also said to avoid caffiene with any type of leg cramps....this is what I was told to do for the RLS, maybe it will help!
