Any good advice on what to bring besides the staples? Anything you wish you had thought of or brought to the hospital with you? We are finally packing ours and I could use some help!

Just make sure you pack any little necessities you like to have around every day.

BIG things you are going to NEED.

chap stick

your own pads, the hospital ones are HUGE and uncomfortable

way more panties than days you'll be there in case of messes

a couple sets of pj's or nightgowns you like

extra socks

comfortable bras

BREAST PADS

shampoo

conditioner

body soap

face wash.. pretty much any shower stuff you use normally

an outfit to go home in.. remember you're are still going to have a belly so makee sure it's something that fit you when you were like 6 months pregnant.

you might want to bring a few of your own face cloths



I was posative with group B strep for both of my last 2 pregnancies so I had to stay in the hospital for 48 hours.. no choice.. so i made sure i had a few little extras.

ALSO... pack a diaper bag for the baby to come home.

of course make sure you have the carseat in your vehicle

um be sure to bring a pen and something to write on cause the hardly ever have anything you can use and you have all this paper work but no pen!! lets see baby book so you can capture the first moments and a camera/cam corder. shower stuff loose fitting clothes robe slippers oh yeah bring your own pillow!!!! so you can be comfortable! good luck i think thats it. good luck!

Ahh thanks ladies!! Nursing pads and a pillow, and the baby book I would of totally forgotten!

you know, i brought stuff this time and ended up not using most of it :hehe

what i did use... my toiletries: shower stuff, hair brush, tooth brush; outfit for hayden to have pictures in and to go home in; outfit for me to go home in; a pen; chapstick, a bra and some breast pads.

that's about it. everything else i didn't use because the hospital had it. that's pretty much what i used both times actually.

bring the camera of course ;)

Oh yes! Camera and baby book is a must! lol Most baby books have a page for the foot prints and both my boys I have had them put the prints in it right there when they are doing all that stuff after the baby is born :) Well my first son my sister had them do it and my second my husband did sicne both times I was laying there getting stitched up :P
