Where DH and i are about to move, I got a job offer as an event cordnator. They want me to plan events for the children for fun, but also educational events for the adults and children as well. I'm considering the job, but, I'm drawing a blank. I'm not sure what types of events and classes I can offer.
What sort of things would you guys want offered in your community?

things like family language classes-sign language, spanish, italian, german. Just basic classes that are fun and focus on everyday words (like foods, colors, numbers, etc) and it could be incorporated into a theme month with basic family cooking classes with ehtnic foods that are healthy and fun and yummy.

I agree with Jennifer! Language classes, especially ASL. Everyone I know wants to learn ASL so badly! I think everyone should learn it at some point :yes

Maybe some arts too:) Teach about art therapy, then have the families experience it

How about puppet shows or plays, story time..sing alongs..arts and crafts with the parents involved. Have the local zoo come out and show off the animals.
