Did you use the dishwasher cleaner thing or just regular Jet Dry? I bought something the other day that's supposed to be a dishwasher cleaner but I haven't used it yet and don't remember what brand it is.

I think it was jet dry....you run it through a cycle without dishes...it's supposed to clean it out

Yeah I'd run a solution of bleach and water through it and see if that helps. Or vinegar... I hope it stops smelling bad soon!!

I just read that you can put tang drink mix in it!!!:wow

Scale. Over time water in the dishwasher will create discolorations and deposits. To clean these, add one half container of Tang Orange Drink Mix. Tang is high in citric acid and will loosen hard water deposits and loosen scale. It’s a good all-purpose dishwasher cleaner. You may need to wipe the inside of the dishwasher with a sponge to remove the rest of the scale. Cleaners will often loosen the debris, but because scale is so stubborn it may need to be physically wiped off.

Rust. Like scale, rust is often found in the water in many homes. Rust will discolor the inside of the dishwasher. To remove rust stains, run one half container of Tang Orange Drink Mix. If deposits are removed and there is still a stain remaining, add a cup of bleach and run the dishwasher empty.

Ive also heard fresh lemon juice also because the acid eats the nasty stuff and the citrusy scent is what your left with. Good luck, that must be VERY annoying!!

I agree with the vinegar...that is what I use all the time in ours..I pour vinegar in the back drain thing and then let it run empty.
