I have been asked to bring baked beans to a party. Other than opeaning a can and dumping them out I have no idea what to do.

I don't know the receip but, I know my mom makes them in the crock-pot with hamburger, baked beans, kidney beans, brown sugar..... sorry, don't know if this helps at all

That sounds good. i think I am going to look it up. I am the type who just hates to open a can of something and take it to a party.

I know my mom puts brown sugar and bacon in them, thats all I know though!

brown sugar, ketchup, dried minced onions, and mustard added to canned pork n' beans. :)

:lol I had no idea that was you. I used your ham and potato casserol recipe and my family loved it. so now I make it all the time for them. Small world. I am going to use the one for your baked beans.

When I do baked beans I do brown sugar, onions, honey bbq sauce (or not honey to make them tangy), and pork n beans. You can add bacon or ham if you want to!! :D YUM!

add some bacon, pork or fat and simmer low and long to add flavor. you can also add onions, garlic, salt pepper if you like!

I start with plain pork n beans. Mix in some cooked bacon (soft cooked, not crispy), a little BBQ sauce, a little bit of ketchup and some brown sugar. Cook at about 350 for 45 minutes or so in a casserole dish. Yumm :)

I take a can of Grama Brown Baked Beans mix Brown Sugar, mustard and Whorchester sauces and spread into pan. Top w/slices on uncooked bacon. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Depending on how sweet you want them just keep adding Brown sugar.
