buy a house ? hubby said he would like to look into buying while we are there and i am just unsure about it because that is a huge step to take and i just am hesitant but maybe its just nerves.

No but alot of people buy in Wisconsin and drive the 30 minutes or so to work. It is cheaper up there

We looked into it and were approved for our loan and had a real estate agent, etc. The problem for me was 2 main things 1)location and 2)property taxes. A house I would consider living in was far away and high prop taxes. We looke for months online and when we got here were glad we just ended up waiting.

Nope, price and the fact we will only live there 3 years, we thought not a wise choice. LOL

Nope. We can't afford it. We have to have a good school district with Breanna being in school so that automatically puts us into the areas where the price of the house combined with the property taxes makes it impossible for us to afford. Also, with John being an RDC we can't live too far away from. We do live about 20-25 minutes away from base depending on traffic, time of day, etc. but we didn't want him having to drive much more than that.
