ok, so i know there has been a lot of talk about cloth diapers lately, so i'm not sure if this has been asked before, but how do you ladies do it??? DH wanted to use them (cuz thats what his mom used) but i have never known anyone to use them, so i know nothing about them. i mean when my MIL used them, they had a diaper service that would come to the door and take care of the dirty ones for you and bring you clean ones. do they still have that now??? and how do you put them on??? and what do you use? i have seen "cloth diapers" (what i use for burp rags lol) but my grandma says they are a lot different then what they used to have back in the day. and i know it was mentioned that they are better for the babies bottom, so that is why i am asking all about this stuff. Ellie is super super super sensitive lately and she gets diaper rash allll the time! i have a special cream i use on her, but if i miss using it once, then it get 10 times worse. so i switched diapers 3 times and still no change. and i am not supposed to bath her every day cuz she has really dry skin, but that is the only way i can really keep the rash away, so i was thinking about cloth diapers, but like i said, i know nothing about them. so what do you do when you are out in public?? doesnt it leak through and get really messy??? i just dont know....any advice would be great!! TIA

We used cloth diapers with my DD for the most part. They are super easy! Yes there are diaper services who are still in business.

DD used AIO's (all-in-ones) so all I had to do was put an insert in & put it on. They have velcro or snaps to secure them.

When we were out in public, I kept a wet bag with us. It's just a waterproof bag to put dirty diapers into. You can eve put them in grocery bags if you'd like.

These are the diapers DD mainly used: http://bumkins.com/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=25&idproduct=72

We had a wet bag sortof like this but it was plain red. It was washable so no stink! We use it now to keep toys in the car. http://bumkins.com/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=22&idproduct=5609

Here is a picture of DD in one of her's just so you can see what I mean.

Cloth diapers are a lot easier than they used to be. Now the are pretty much built like a disposable diaper. The cleaning isn't that bad either. I loved using cloth on my boys. :)
