I dont know if this really does here, dh is out to sea right now and he sent me an e-mail for a POA for the Family Day Cruise that is coming up. he said that i had to fill it out and then e-mail it back to him. But I am having a problem with it. It is a Word Document and I have saved it and just opened it and tried to fill in the required fields and it wont let me. It says that the document is locked. So I clicked on the help button for Microsoft Word and typed in locked and came up with stuff, well i pressed all the buttons that I was suppose to, to get it unlocked and it didnt work. I even tried to copy and paste and it wouldnt let me do it. So my question is how can I get it unlocked? Has this ever happened to you? TIA!!!! :)

I dont have a scanner,:( but that was a great idea. Thanks for the reply. I wrote to dh and told him about it so we will see what he says. Maybe he can wait until they get home and I can just fill it out by hand. :dunno

I opened it and tried to copy and paste it and it wouldnt let me do that. when I right clicked to go paste it, it unhighlighted it and you couldnt paste it. I have never heard of locking before. I am just afraid that if I dont get it in time I wont be able to go.

I've had this problem. I have just opened it up on another program. Depending what file type it is, it will work on others besides word.

Or there is always the way of printing it, and then scanning it.

Well try not right clicking it just press ctrl+V to paste it. Or you can try opening it in word pad or note pad if you have that and see if that works. :shrug

I would just print it and then get it scaned at a friends house or somewhere else. Good luck
