Nope I'm not packed either. Of course part of the problem...I can't seem to remember what I should bring because I don't even think I used much out of my bag in the hospital...

HINGS TO TAKE AS YOU LEAVE THE HOUSE

____KEYS
Running out of the house and locking yourself out is not a good idea.
____PLASTIC BAG
If you feel nauseous when you leave the house a plastic bag could come in handy in the car.
____TOWELS FOR CAR
If your water breaks the towels will protect the upholstery in your car.

LIST OF THINGS TO BRING TO LABOR AND DELIVERY

____BIRTH PLAN
____BATH ROBE

____SNACKS
____CHANGE FOR VENDING MACHINES AND PHONE CALLS

____Books
____Games
____CD’s

OTHER THINGS TO BRING TO THE HOSPITAL

____MEDICATIONS
____ADDRESS BOOK WITH PHONE NUMBERS
There will be many people you will want to call after the baby is born. Be sure you have the number of your lactation consultant, pediatrician and if you are going to use a baby nurse be sure to have her number with you
____PHONE CARD
You might want to make some long distance calls and charge them to your phone card.
____INSURANCE CARD
Notify your insurance company within twenty-four hours after your baby is born.

Regular glasses and if you need them reading glasses.
____CONTACT LENSES AND CONTACT LENS SOLUTION

They always like a good box of candy. Having worked on two hospital maternity units I suggest buying a one pound box for each shift. If you give one box of candy the shift you give it to will keep it for themselves. I know that’s pretty tacky but they do.

THINGS FOR DAD

More and more frequently husbands are staying with their wives after the baby is born. To make his stay more comfortable dad should pack a little bag for himself.

____CAR SEAT
Have the car seat properly installed in the car before you go to the hospital. Read all instructions carefully. You might want to take the car to your local police station. They will show you how to properly install a car seat. Leave the car seat in the car when you get to the hospital. When you leave the hospital you will be required to sit in a wheelchair and the baby will be placed in your arms. If the car seat is already in the car it saves time. Just place the baby in the car seat and you are on your way.
____HEAD AND BODY SUPPORT FOR CAR SEAT

Place rolled up extra receiving blankets on each side of the baby in the car seat for support.

Ha...don't feel bad....not only do I not have my bag or her bag packed but I also haven't bought one single thing (besides clothes) yet! Since my girls are 7 years apart...I need EVERYTHING. I am waiting to go on maternity leave before I go shopping...lol. That is probably a bad idea...oops!

I haven't packed mine yet. I don't pack mine til I go into labor. I like to spend the least amount of time as possible in the hospital so packing my bag when I go into labor helps give me something to do and keep my mind off going. I do make a list of the things I'm going to take though. This time I'm going to look as if I'm moving in. :lol I'm going to end up having 3-4 bags between me, John, Breanna, Johnny, and Zachary.

I packed at 38 weeks but only because DH wouldn't stop asking if I had done it yet. We bought the first pack of diapers and lil shampoo, shower gel etc when I was 39weeks. Luckily we did because I had an appointment later that day and they decided to induce me that same day. :teehee Since we had just bought everything we actually had the bacg in the car
