Seeing a comercial for the new Bachelor, just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on it. I dont know what it is, but something about it rubs me the wrong way. There is something about the whole military concept of it that I dont like but I just cant put my finger on it.

Although as mentioned in previous posts, he is pretty good looking!

Hmmm I don't know about all that either... How is this tying into his military career? Is he taking time off?
He is "too pretty" for me... but the girls on their will love him or his money... not sure which one :thinkin

I'm not sure yet either. I do think that I am going to watch this season because well I have nothing better to do and because it's related to the military which I am so fond of...(note sarcasm ;)) Anyway I think he's super good looking and will watch just for the drama of it all.

I'm pretty sure the command gave him leave to go do this just like the guy on American Idol and when the Marines gave Josh Gracin time to go to Idol. Special circumstances.

From what I've heard he's a pretty grounded guy and one of my friends here husbands works with him on the base they are assigned to. When I watched The View the other day he looked like he was floating on cloud 9 so hopefully this match will last! Given that he had the network tell the girls before they did casting call that he was in the military so they knew somewhat what they were getting themselves in to. I'm sure that probably detered a few women from even auditioning for the show.

I'm anxious to see how the dynamics of the show work this time since he is in the military and the lifestyle after the show is going to be very different, but girls like us make it work everyday so I'm sure out of the 25 on there that someone will be able to make it work! :D

When it all boils down though.. they are people just like us... they just happen to be in the limelight for a while!

I haven't really ever followed any of the other seasons, just seen bits and pieces. So we'll see, i do tend to get sucked in by the drama of the reality TV...

He may be "too pretty" for my attraction but when he was pictured in the whites with the hat... :drool :lmao

i think the part that bugs me is not so much that hes in the military, but im more concerned about that fact that i hope these ladies know how hard it is to be a militarty wife and arent just doing it to be on tv,i just hope that who ever he chooses understands the military lifestyle .

I think I agree with that thought. Although at this point I DO NOT claim to be the authority on what military life is like by any means since I'm just getting my feet wet with my boyfriend's first deployment coming up.

I have to admit I'm kind of a reality show addict lol, so I'll be watching. Plus there are two girls from KS on there (where I'm from) so I have to keep tabs of that hehe. I just hope he's a genuinely nice guy to go along with (navy, dr., triathlete), that's what will attract me to the show more. I always hope for these things to workout and ppl to find true love hehehehe...should be fun to watch regardless:)

From what he said on The View the other day his new "fiance" understands what his job is about and understands that he could be deployed at any minute and that his job is very demanding. She's also looking forward to living in Hawaii since he's stationed here. I wish them luck and happiness!!

I will watch the show but I feel they are trying to get rating by using a military man with everything thats going on.
