duckyprincess 04-02-2007, 12:23 PM for some reason dd doesn't want to eat today.. for the past week she just wants her milk, juice, and wheel cookies.... i don't know what is goin on. the doc told me its normal. She does like to eat my food... and the doc said that was ok but today she just doesn't want any. anybody been thru this b4?
Teresa 04-02-2007, 12:26 PM Hmmm :puzz Could she be teething?
How old is she? A kid will eat when they are hungry. Trent went two days on water, crackers, and cheese!!:nutts It is normal
duckyprincess 04-02-2007, 12:27 PM well she has 2 in the top that are coming out.. but it seems like there are 2 more on the top on the left coming out too.. i dunno

christymichelle 04-02-2007, 12:27 PM i'm sorry:(
she is 10 1/2 months
Oh yeah that is normal!! Trent did not even start having full 3 solid meals until he was 11-12 months old. Have you tried some different foods?
Caimbrie 04-02-2007, 12:33 PM It's normal. Try some other things like the baby fruit bars.
Teresa 04-02-2007, 12:33 PM I think it's a normal stage. If I remember right, Ericka went through that too :) We had a problem with giving her too much milk and juice, though, so her tummy was always full :tears Hopefully she'll eat for you soon :hugs
duckyprincess 04-02-2007, 12:39 PM thanks ladies... i didnt know babies went thru this.. thanks GOd I have you ladies to help me!!! :D

:hugs Babies are still such a mystery to me, too :) My son is WAY different than my daughter ever was! I wish they came with instructions books :lol
duckyprincess 04-02-2007, 01:07 PM lmao!!!!
Victoria 04-02-2007, 01:37 PM OH yeah....Ethan goes through that stage periodically. Just remember, milk lasts a while in the tummy! How much milk do you give her?
duckyprincess 04-02-2007, 01:40 PM she drinks 8 oz every 4 hrs.. maybe i should reduce it??? i will ask the doc on her 12th month check up
Victoria 04-02-2007, 01:41 PM Wow....is this milk or formula?!
Victoria 04-02-2007, 01:43 PM Honestly, that's even too much for Ethan. Ethan only gets 8 oz of milk in his sippy and the other 8 oz is of soy milk and that's added in his breakfast oatmeal.
duckyprincess 04-02-2007, 01:47 PM its formula.. maybe i should just give her 6 and then feed her the solids then.. i guess she is not hungry enough or doesn't need the solids since she drinks too much milk.. i don't know.. i have heard of babies that drink the same as dd and still eat solids twice a day..
define 04-02-2007, 01:48 PM My daughter goes through phase like that if she's been drinking a lot of milk. Every so often she goes on a milk craze and won't eat much.

there's times that she just wants milk.. that is why i started giving her 8 oz.:dunno
Victoria 04-02-2007, 01:54 PM Those babies could have a higher metabolic rate too.
I would contact the pediatrician before the 12 month appt. Because by then she should be off the formula...
Also, you may want to contact them sooner to find out how to transition into regular whole milk.
I, personally, think that 32 oz of formula for a healthy 10.5 month old is too much.
:)

I'm confused. When you say milk, do you mean formula? There's a big difference between milk and formula.
If you're really concerned about her not eating solids. I'd cut back on the formula/milk. Maybe only give her formula/milk at certain times a day, like at meal times and give her a smaller amount, like 4oz.
duckyprincess 04-02-2007, 02:01 PM yeah its formula... i might cut down on her bottle b4 lunch and then b4 dinner... maybe give her like 4 oz or so...
