Remember that jihad as Western culture know it has been misconstructed by Western media to mean terrorist. The majority of Muslims are very peaceful, and jihad to them, as one of their pillars (similar to Catholic commandments) is to participate in a struggle in their lifetime.

Most just try something difficult, as in getting an advanced degree or raising money for a good cause. It's the terrorists, the dangerous Muslim minorities that take it literally. :no
