CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- A Clay County man was arrested on Friday after police said he shot his neighbor's dog.
According to a police report, 54-year-old Stephen Maranville was working in his yard and left his poodle to wander around, eventually into his neighbor's yard.
Maranville told police he heard something that sounded like a dogfight and then looked through the fence between his and his neighbor's yards and saw the neighbor's pit bull, which police said was chained to a shed to be kept near the neighbor's home, biting his dog in the neck.
The report states Maranville then went into his home and came back outside with a .22-caliber revolver and fired six shots at the neighbor's dog, hitting it twice.
He then retrieved his poodle from his neighbor's yard. The poodle died.
Maranville is charged with armed trespassing and cruelty to animals.
Stupid idiot. Im sorry, but he deserves to be shot as well. Not dead, but like a knee or foot :lol
I take it that poodle was not to smart.. :thinking
