There are several different stores on post. :)

There is the commissary, the grocery store.
The PX/BX/NEX its like a department store
they sometimes have little smaller stores/consessions inside the px/bx/nex mall.
depending on your base there are random little stores scattered on post (thats what ours was like in germany)
Some places even have thrift stores. Ours in germany was awesome but the one here totally sucks.

At each store you will 99% be required to show id either going in the door, at check-out or both. The commissary charges a surcharge of 5% and the PX/NEX/BX is tax free and often price match local stores :D

Be prepared to have some cash/coins on hand to tip the baggers at the commissary if you're grocery shopping... no one told me about this the first time I went, and I felt like a jackass because I never carry cash :(

I can't believe I forgot this. As a bagger for 3 years and a head bagger for 1.5. Shame on me. Please tip your bagger they ONLY work for tips and a lot of people dont know this. On paydays though they make a killing so you dont have to go crazy. Bagging is hard work especially when your customers treat you like dirt. Please tip your baggers!!!

I was going to PM you this, but you have your PM's shut off for some reason. But I see you are from Sinton, TX. Where you planning on shopping at Ingleside? Or over at Corpus Christi?

Ingleside doesn't have a Commisary (Food), but they have a very, very small NEX. If I were you I would go over to NAS Corpus cause they have everything, commisary, exchange and such.

Good Luck
