I don't think you have to turn them on. If you do then I don't know about it. LOL!! Try looking through your usercp and the user options.

I think you need 50 posts for that (but don't quote me on that, I might just remember that from another forum and have them mixed up lol)

They are automatically turned on. If you want to change your settings (like whether to receive a pop up or email notification) just go to your options under your usercp :)
